Over the years Reginald Kaye built an international reputation. Specialising in ferns, alpines and orchids, he regularly won gold medals at prestigious Flower Shows and was a gold medal winner at the Chelsea Flower Show. He also wrote many books including the classic 'Hardy Ferns', the 'Wisely Handbook on Ferns' and 'Modern Water Gardening', published between 1968 and 1978.
Building on Reginald Kaye's experience and love of unusual plants, Kayes Nursery grow rare plants including dierama and meconopsis. Kayes have a strong background with ferns and woodland plants and other shade loving plants. Hellebores, trilliums and perennials complete the range of plants in the unique atmosphere of the gardens at Kayes. Kayes is for plant lovers and true gardeners.
In addition to selling unusual plants, Kayes sells a wide variety of plant seed, including poppy seeds, and a wide variety of annuals and grasses, all of which are grown and nurtured at Kayes.
